EXTERNALLY PRESSURIZED EXPANSION JOINTS

Expansion joints consisting more ondulations is used to absorb the high expansion in long pipelines. The possibility of torsion of the expansion joints increases when the number of ondulations increase.
Externally pressurized expansion joints is used to take the expansion from high pressure and long pipelines, to reduce the number of expansion joints and to prevent axis misalignments that may occur with torsion.
Pressure is given out of the bellows to balance the forces that cause the torsion.
Usage Areas: * High pressure and high expansion application. * Lines there is torsion. * Underground pipelines * Superheated oil systems
*Geothermal plants
