Expansion joints are the parts with flexible metal bellows that are responsible for eliminating the large dimensional changes that occur in pipelines.
They are used for two purposes in pipelines. The first of these purposes is expansion and the second is vibration.
Expansion Joints, which have a wide range of application areas such as pumps, blowers, ventilators, coolers, cooling towers, air compressors, ventilation systems, petrochemical and industrial piping systems, power plants, iron and steel industry, shipyard, ship industry, are responsible for eliminating the pressure on the installation. These elements may consist of one or more bellows.
EXPANSION JOINT SELECTION
When choosing expansion joints, features such as the areas where they will be used, temperature, pressure, amount of movement, fluid level should be taken into consideration. The selection to be made by considering all these factors will result in correct use and therefore efficient results.
